My brother and I were born and raised in a low-income family, but that has never hindered our determination to learn. Our parents always encouraged us to work hard and study diligently in order to succeed, and their advice has remained deeply ingrained in me. My desire to learn about Korean education came about quite unexpectedly. In eighth grade, as the internet began to emerge in Vietnam, I discovered the Korean television program Running Man. Through this program, I learned many things about Korea and its people, including traditional costumes, cuisine, and beautiful cultural landmarks. With a strong aspiration to pursue higher education abroad, I have developed a concrete study plan in preparation for the GKS Master’s Program if I receive the scholarship as follows:

First, I will strengthen my English and Korean language proficiency to successfully adapt to an international academic environment and overcome initial language difficulties. My passion for Korean culture – nurtured through my interest in Korean media such as Running Man – has given me an early understanding of Korea, its people, and its traditions. When I entered my third year of university, I could only participate in an online Korean program at a leading foreign language center in Hanoi due to time and financial constraints. However, this course strengthened my foreign language skills, particularly Korean, and served as a stepping stone toward achieving my goal of attending universities in Korea.
